Nerami

A musical melting pot, an energetic fusion, a groundbreaking sound. That's Nerami. In Bambara, it means "to mix, to blend"—and that's exactly what Nerami does.
Nerami fuses the hypnotic rhythms of Malian blues with the raw energy of Belgian rock 'n' roll. As if the Scheldt flows into the Niger... or vice versa.

The result? A unique sound that combines tradition and modernity, with a groove that moves you and never lets go.
The Nerami story began in Mali. Jonathan Blondel, bassist with roots in the rock and punk world, traveled to Bamako six years ago and played with Djimé Sissoko. The love for Malian blues was already there, but the idea to blend these sounds with rock 'n' roll only arose later.

After a concert by Djimé with Samba Touré in Belgium, Jonathan knew for sure: this could use some more rock 'n' roll.
Together with Djimé, he began searching for the right musicians. Mouctar Sissoko and Jonathan Gelinne joined, and Nerami was born.
In April 2023, they played their first shows in Belgium. The audience responded enthusiastically, giving them the energy
to further develop this project. Annual tours followed, including tours beyond Belgium.

Nerami released two songs in October 2025, followed by their EP #1 in January 2026, both are released on Bandcamp.
